ABOUT

This blog has been constituted to support the work of my Office of Learning and Teaching National Teaching Fellowship. Through my Fellowship 11 Australian universities will begin collaboration in August 2016 to:

1) investigate contemporary teaching induction practice and develop a teaching induction research agenda;

2) develop a self-paced, semester long, national, open access Learning and Teaching Induction Program (LTIP) for teaching staff in the Australian Higher Education sector; and

3) establish an ongoing ‘Teaching Induction’ Special Interest Group.

While the focus of our LTIP development is for the Australian regulatory environment, we believe that the vast majority of the resources developed will be of value to our international colleagues. We warmly welcome input to the development of and use of the open education resources by colleagues from across the world.

The Fellowship would like to establish Teaching Induction Special Interest Group (SIG), initially through this blog and perhaps in the future through a group such as HERDSA or ISSOTL.

I look forward to discussing with you the important and under researched area of higher education teaching induction.
